Elixir Cruises sets sail with MS Elysium
After a long delay, the new Greek boutique shipping company Elixir Cruises finally set sail with its first ship MS Elysium from Athens Marina Zeas with passengers last Saturday.
A „new“ cruise-ship is sailing
The premiere voyage will take passengers to the most beautiful places, bays and places of the Cyclades and will end after one week back in Marina Zeas. From this starting port, cruises to the Cyclades will be offered alternating with the „Grecian trial“ Cruises afterwards. Those can definitely be described as exclusive with their choice of destinations, as many small islands and hardly to find spots will be visited.
Before the Elysium maiden voyage, the ship was extensively renovated at the Perama shipyard and brought up to the new standard of Elixir Cruises. In addition to adjustments to the colour scheme of the boutique yacht, the interiors and cabins were also modernised.
Exclusive Yacht with an exclusive CV
Before MS Elysium was acquired by Elixir, the ship, built in 1998 in Spain, was transferred under the name Emerald Dream, as well as previously being used as MS Celebrity Xperience by Celebrity Cruises in the Pacific for exclusive small-group cruises.
Elixir plans to market the attractive yacht year-round in the Mediterranean and set sail with up to 50 passengers and 24 crew members.
