The vessel was in service with Silver Sea Cruises until January 2022. It was than sold to a new french expedition cruise line: Exploris. They plan to start cruising with the ship by the end of the year 2023. A new name of MS Silver Explorer is not know yet – however it is likely that the vessel will be totally rebranded and modernised due to the time available until new cruises will start with Exploris.
