Heritage Expeditions wants to operate the small expedition cruise ship with a maximum of 140 passengers, whereas there would basically be room for 184. The Heritage Adventurer will be thoroughly overhauled and renovated before entering service from New Zealand in May 2022. It is planned to sail to the east and north-east of Russia, the subantarctic islands and as far as Antarctica itself and the Ross Sea.
For Heritage Expeditions, the ex-MS Hanseatic will be the largest ship in the fleet, since the Expedition-Operator took over the well known vessel in 2021.
