Havila verschiebt Premiere der Havila Polaris erneut

Es scheint beinahe Tradition zu werden: Leider muss Havila Voyages die Indienststellung des nächsten, geplanten Neubaues Havila Polaris erneut verschieben. Dies geschieht zum wiederholten Male, wie Geschäftsführer Bent Martini bedauernd feststellt.

Damit muss Havila Voyages zwei im April geplante Reisen der Havila Polaris absagen. Gebuchte Kunden würden nun umgehend informiert sagt Martini.

Neues Datum der Erstkreuzfahrt ab Bergen ist nun der 29.April – 2023 wohlgemerkt.

Nach Unternehmenangaben wird Havila derzeit noch davon abgehalten, dass bereits fertiggestellte Schiff zu übernehmen, da rechtliche Abklärungen und Genehmigungen der irischen Zentralbank auch weiterhin nicht erteilt wurden.

Laut Martinis Aussage, habe man es „mit einer aussergewöhnlichen Situation zu tun, die selbst auf diesem Gebiet erfahrene Anwälte, die Justiz, Kreditgeber und Behörden in diesem Bereich so noch nicht erlebt haben. Das führte dazu, dass sich unser Fall länger verzögert hat, als man erwarten konnte…“.

Dennoch sei man nun kurz vor der Auslieferung, versichert Martini und entsprechend optimistisch, dass es nun bald soweit sei.

Reisende, die auf den früheren April-Abfahrten gebucht waren, würden nun von Havila informiert. Man bietet Umbuchungen auf andere Schiffe, einen späteren Reisetermin, oder die Erstattung des Reisepreises an.

Informationen zur geplanten Indienststellung des vierten Neubaus – MS Havila Pollux – liegen gegenwärtig nicht vor.

Havila postpones premiere of Havila Polaris again

It almost seems to become a tradition: Unfortunately, Havila Voyages has to postpone the commissioning of the next planned newbuilding, Havila Polaris, once again. This is the second time this has happened, as managing director Bent Martini regrets.

This means that Havila Voyages has to cancel two Havila Polaris voyages planned for April. Booked customers will now be informed immediately, says Martini.
The new date for the first cruise from Bergen is now 29 April – in 2023, mind you.

According to the company, Havila is still being held back from taking delivery of the completed ship because legal clarifications and approvals from the Irish Central Bank have still not been granted.

According to Martini, „we are dealing with an extraordinary situation that even lawyers experienced in this field, the judiciary, lenders and authorities in this area have not experienced before. As a result, our case has been delayed longer than could have been expected…“.

Nevertheless, they are now close to delivery, Martini assures us, and are correspondingly optimistic that it will now be soon.

Travellers booked on the earlier April sailings are now being informed by Havila. They will be offered rebooking on other ships, a later travel date, or a refund of the travel price.

Information on the planned commissioning of the fourth newbuilding – MS Havila Pollux – is currently not available.
